SG_01249-2

Carolina Core FC continues to roll at home, extending its home unbeaten streak to six. The Foxes capped off the streak with their most dominant win of the season with a 4-0 performance against Inter Miami CF II on Wednesday. They now look to go undefeated this week with a Saturday match with Chicago Fire FC II.

4 - They're on "Fire"

The Foxes roll into Saturday on a two-match unbeaten streak, taking down Chattanooga in a shootout and dominating Miami 4-0 on Wednesday. They look to keep the momentum going into the weekend against Chicago Fire FC II. This will be the two teams’ third meeting of the season and fifth all-time. Carolina holds a 1-1-2 record against the Windy City, including a 2-1 victory the last time they faced off in May. The Core will be vying for back-to-back wins over Chicago to keep them looking in on the playoff picture.

9 - His Debut, But Not His First Rodeo

Nick Kaloukian wasted no time to make his presence known to the Carolina Core faithful. In his Carolina debut, the striker found himself with multiple prime opportunities in front of the Miami net and helped set up his teammates. Kaloukian scored a goal on a penalty kick as well as tallied an assist and four shots on target. He did exactly what the Foxes brought him in to do: create offense. He recorded five goals and six assists across his two seasons in the Armenian Premier League and has not skipped a beat since coming back to the U.S.

6 - Defending Home Turf

With Wednesday’s dominant win over Miami, Carolina Core FC has extended its home unbeaten streak to six matches. The last time the Foxes lost at Truist Point was May 2, when they dropped the match to Atlanta 2-1. Since then, The Core has combined for four wins and two draws. The Core has also outscored opponents 11-3 with a trio of clean sheets in that span. The Foxes have continued to build off the fans’ energy despite waiting out rain delays in the last three home matches.

99 - A Special Birthday Surprise

In only his third match for Carolina, Grayson Rockhill scored his first goal of the season as The Core's fourth unanswered goal against Miami. Rockhill entered the match in the 86th minute for Tristan Weber. He netted his first goal only two minutes later, celebrating in the pouring rain with his teammates. His score came less than a week after his 18th birthday, giving the young player a special birthday present.
