Carolina Core FC looks to improve its current homestand against Inter Miami CF II after losing in a penalty shootout to Chattanooga FC 4-2. The Core is hoping to extend its home unbeaten streak to six matches in its third meetup with Miami

7 - Down to the Wire

The Foxes enter this matchup against Inter Miami falling in a penalty shootout 4-2 to Chattanooga. Shootouts have been a familiar sight for Carolina. The Core has found itself fighting for two points seven times this season, the most in the league. Both matchups between Carolina and Miami in 2026 have gone the distance. Miami took the first game 2-0 in PKs back in March while The Core grabbed two points in their most recent meetup with a 4-1 shootout victory in June.

1 - Staying Home for the Holliday

Nick Holliday put on a show in goal against Chattanooga, tallying six saves on seven shots on target in the Foxes’ shootout loss. Holliday ranks second in MLS Next Pro with 63 total saves on the season. The Carolina goalkeeper made multiple game-changing plays against CFC, including a sliding save in the 59th minute to keep the deficit to only one. That effort allowed his team to tie the match minutes later. Holliday looks to make his mark against Miami after not playing in the previous matchup.

26 - On a Heater

Arnaud Tattevin scored Carolina’s lone goal in regulation against Chattanooga, netting a penalty kick in the 61st minute. With that performance, he has scored in back-to-back matches for the Foxes and four goals in the last six matches. Tattevin leads the squad with eight scores this season, which is tied for seventh in MLS Next Pro. He has continued to prove himself as a premiere finisher in the league and the top attacker for Carolina. In a club that has seen plenty of turnover over the past month, Tattevin has proven himself as a consistent force throughout the campaign.

9 - New-look Squad

Since the start of June, The Core has taken on a new form. Carolina has signed nine new players over the last two months with four of them already making multiple starts. Andrew Czech is the only one in the group to have gotten on the board this season with a goal against NYCFC II on June 17. Rasid Tetteh was the most recent addition to make an appearance with the Foxes as he played in the final 10 minutes against Chattanooga. Carolina also welcomed Nick Kaloukian to the squad as he looks for his first minutes for The Core.
